Ouch, Ouch, Ouch!

I've been okay with the estrogen patches up until this morning. OMG. They really hurt when I have to take them off. A lot. I've been trying some tips like using alcohol to loosen them up while ripping them off. That still doesn't help much. Any other advice is greatly appreciated ladies!

I find it kinda laughable that I can give myself several shots a day from little needles to really freakin' big needles and not complain about them. I also haven't had problems with progesterone supps. in the past. So, why am I so tripped up with a topical patch? Who the heck knows.

I did advance up to 4 patches today. Nothing else to report until Friday.

On a side note, I really liked my ticker with the turkey. However, I just couldn't stand it being inaccurate anymore. I could not get it to give the exact date of my FET, so I had to replace it. No fun turkey, but it's a ticker that works properly. Okay, finished with OCD behavior for the evening.

I found taking them off in the shower w/ soap helped...

The new layout is cute! I like the new ticker - joined hearts i think are very appropriate for FET!

I have no advice, but wanted to thank you again for everything!

I agree with anniep. I loosened the edge in the shower and then ripped them off as fast as I could (like a band-aid). I have peach fuzz (okay, my belly is kinda furry) and those little suckers hurt coming off.

I love the new look of your blog and the pic of you and DH on the side. You 2 are a great looking couple!!

I haven't used the estrogen patches, but a nurse once told me to soak a similar adhesive patch all the way through with rubbing alcohol, and that after a few minutes the adhesive would just dissolve. Apparently other kinds of alcohol might work too -- if you have extra vodka lying around, might be worth a try. Certainly smells better than rubbing alcohol! I just wouldn't use any booze that's too sticky.

Unfortunately, no advice on the patches, but I just wanted to say that I love the new background!

Ditto on the shower/soap. Maybe try some baby oil?

I would suggest the baby oil too - based on the fact that WD-40 takes any sticky stuff off...

I love the new ticker and background! so cute

I just rip those patches off very quickly! I use alcohol to get the glue off, bud light works best.

They really do hurt when you pull them off. I am not looking forward to that again in January.

I can't believe you are now 10 days away from your FET. It seems like just yesterday you had your appt. I hope the next week flies by.

Try baby oil? That's better at removing the sticky stuff anyway.

I have no idea about the estrogen patch, never used a patch before ... but it came to mind ... if it really hurts that badly and adhesive removers aren't helping ... you could get all Lance Armstrong on us and shave your tummy/arms/back ... whatever place you'd be landing the patches.

Cyclists and swimmers do it all the time!

I can't believe it's coming so quickly!!!!

I've never used the patches, so I can offer no help. Sorry they hurt so much. (It still amazes me what we put our bodies through.)

LOVE THE NEW LAYOUT! I am so excited for your FET, I can't believe it is only 10 days away!!!

FINGERS, TOES, and everything else all crossed!

Try baby oil. Rub it on there and let it sit for a second and it should come right off!
