Guess who showed?

LOL. Yep-AF arrived and so we are officially on track for our upcoming transfer. Weird thing is that she showed exactly today, when she was supposed to. That rarely happens for me. Oh well, I'll take it!

Got all my meds ordered. There was A LOT of extra stuff apparently I needed! Anyway, getting lots more Vivelle patches, Endometrin, Erythromycin, and Lupron syringes in the mail later this week. One would think that I would've had enough based on that ridiculous pic I posted of my IVF meds when they arrived back in August, but I guess not. I'm also hoping that I have to order lots more after a positive beta in December. :-)

So, I start with the estrogen patches on Wednesday and continue them every other day for a week. I've never experienced a patch before. I thought about going on Ortho Evra a few years ago, but decided to stick with my tried and true (BCPs). I always envisioned it falling off and then the "oh crap" happening. What a laugh remembering the long ago days when I thought I was actually fertile. My, oh my, how things change...

That's exciting that you get to start everything --- good luck! That's great that all of your meds are ordered, too. :)

Yahoo!!!!

I'm glad you get to start! I'm watching with great anticipation and still hoping that we finally get blasts at CCRM like you did! I consider your story the absolute best thing I've ever read when it comes to those blasts!!

GOOD LUCK!

I did the patch for BC (laugh) and then Estrogen for fertility treatments. I had issues both times with them coming off but I've never heard that from anyone else. I like to imagine that I just have such raucous sex that it's unavoidable. ;)

Yay for AF! My only patch advice is to not put lotion on your skin/ hands before putting the patches on and to space the patches out more than half an inch apart.

I'm *still* on the patches, 3 refills so far, so I wish many happy refills in your future!

Yay! I'm so happy for you-- isn't it funny how many years we wasted thinking we'd accidentally get pregnant? Oy. Anyway, here's to new beginnings :)

oh yes...i often curse my health teacher and parents who put the fear of god in me that i could become pregnant at the drop of a hat!!

i giggled when i read your blog today b/c i was just looking at the pictures that i took of all of my IVF meds when they arrived two months ago. :)

glad to hear about AF! (seems weird to say that...).

Yay!
I liked the Vivelle patches, they are small and stay on pretty well. I did Estraderm for my first IVF and I hated them because they were huge and always peeled off. If you have even peach fuzz where you want to put the patch, shave the area - it really helps!

I'm so happy that your on track for your FET! There are many definitions to irony. The fact that I was on BCP for 12 years so that we wouldn't have an oops is on the top of my list! That should be part of the alanis morissett song. Isn't it ironic...!

SORRY, went off on a little tangent there! I am really happy that everything is falling right into place for you so far! My fingers are crossed for you!

The patches are a breeze. I would have mailed you my huge pack of unopened ones if you asked - never used most of them.

Yay for on time periods for once!

The only issue I had with the Vivelle patches is that they stuck too well. LOL. I used to try to rip them off so fast to get it over with, but always cringed in pain.

To think back to the days when we thought about effective BC methods. LOL. What a waste of money.

So excited you are moving one more step forward!! (:
