Diaper bag heaven

Yes-I feel like I've died and gone to that beautiful heaven with fabulous handbags. As a preface, I love handbags and have spent too much time and money on them in the past. But, now I've got a diaper bag that I love, love, love! Introducing, my very own Petunia Pickle Bottom...

It's a new Spring 2009 chenille fabric line with a tapestry look. I've spent much time obsessing over my dream bag and originally fell in love with this Cake Couture Petunia bag below. This one is my favorite, but I really can't justify it. It just seems way too much to spend for a diaper bag.

So, I think my top selection is a great combination of sophisticated style, yet reasonable pricing. Anyway, the best part is that it's a gift from my co-workers!

I happen to work with such a great group of people. We have always celebrated births for all of our team members, and a popular choice has been the Petunia bags over the past few years. There was definitely a point last year when I didn't know if I would ever get a chance to be celebrated, if our situation would ever change so that I could get giddy over all things baby-related.

There are still days that I want to pinch myself to make sure I'm not dreaming that something so wonderful is happening to me. It would seem so, but I still worry every day about something going wrong and everything ending much differently.

But today ended perfectly with my new favorite bag getting purchased! I don't get it until my shower on May 21st, but I'll think of it often!

As I told the shop owner today: my boys may not have a nursery to sleep in yet, but Mommy has a pretty bag!

I have a thing for bags too. Specifically, I have a Coach addiction. *blush*

I'm so jealous! These are fabulous!!!! I love handbags too and I've been thinking that I want a really pretty diaper bag, and that I should get a manly one for DH.

Oh Jill!!! It is gorgeous!!! Once again something else we have in common, Dooney is my downfall :)
I love, love, love this bag!

I usually thinks it's just me. I'm not a shoe person or even a clothes person but the money I've spent on handbags is outrageous. Let's just say there is a gorgous $1,300 Louis Vuitton bag that I have my eye on....

It's sick but it's my only real vice (I don't even own a flat-screen TV).

Heh. I LOVED purchasing diaper bags. I went "high end". We ended up with 2 that we bought, and a lot of cheapies that were given to us from the hospital and such. I still love our purchased ones.

I love your bag selection by the way. Very cute.

Hey- Likely not the best place for me to ask you this but I have failed 4 iui's and 2 ivfs- I'm 29 and we were originally diagnosed with slight morphology issues. I switched clinics to Cornell recently and the new RE is concerned about my slight case of hypothroid. I just found your blog and have to ask if your thyroid was treated before ivf 3? My TSH level was 3.9 but last week was 3.5 (no treatment) it just dropped on its own. Congrats to you! I love to read success stories!

oooh, I love both of those bags. I tend to agree, the cake, while lovely, is a bit much for something that will house spit-up rags. ;) I adore the back-pack bags like the one you have. I'm eyeing the same one, only in chambord.

You deserve it!!!

Gorgeous bag. Do you think that it will hold enough for two?

One multiples book I've read says that you should use a big backpack -- but with all of the beautiful diaper bags now, a backpack sounds like no fun at all.

I actually have the Cake Doctor bag. Trust me, I didn't pay for it. I received it as a gift. Although it is absolutely beautiful and people comment on it all the time, it has one major flaw. It doesn't open wide enough at the top. Everything goes to the bottom, which is to be expected, BUT, it doesn't open wide enough to dig anything out. Therefore, you have to empty the entire bag out to get to the wipees or a new onesie. If I had it to do over again, I would go with your diaper bag.

Congrats on your twins. I am new to your blog. A friend of mine is dealing with IF and somehow I found my way to your blog reading other blogs.
