Week 10 Ultrasound pic

I have 3D images of them both individually, but I don't think the one of Baby A is flattering, so trying to be a fair Mommy, I'll only put the one of them together up today. :-) The tech spent a good 10-15 minutes on the u/s today. We were in heaven. I just enjoyed "spending time with them" even though they're technically always with me.

What a fun appt. today! Baby A was a busy little bee right from the start, jumping all over the place. Baby B was my little quiet sweetheart. But after 5 minutes of watching Baby A get all the laughters, he decided to join in as well and was moving all over the screen, too. So, both are active and healthy. Baby A's heart rate was 167 and Baby B's was 162 and both are measuring 10w5d. Perfect! I don't know if it's something I ate prior to the appt to make them so crazy, or maybe that's just what they're doing in there, but it was funny. All I could think was: my future ADHD children...

In the sweet 3D image of Baby B, he had his little arms in front of his eyes. It was like he was saying "No more ultrasound wand poking at me." Too cute. Baby A had his back to us, so we couldn't make much out of him. But, the ultrasound tech did say she saw "boy parts" on Baby A. She didn't know our history, so we kinda laughed and said that we already knew that. She couldn't see Baby B's, but maybe next time. I've got my NT Scan appt. with perinatologist on Feb. 4th. Can't wait to see them again.

Steve saved the u/s in his phone and labeled the pic with 2 boy names. I'm not yet willing to share what they are with the world, but they are 2 of my 4 favorites, so maybe we're coming to some decisions on their names...to be continued...

I won't be putting up the 10 week Nest/Bump fruit description this week because it's a picture of a prune. I think prunes are disgusting, so I can't compare my babies to that. But here is a little more info about this week in development: "With bones and cartilage starting to form and vital organs beginning to function, baby is making major progress. Body length will almost double in the next three weeks, and arm joints are now working. (Soon, legs will too.)" Average size is 1.2inches and weight is 0.18 ounces (or 5 grams).

In other huge news-I graduated today from CCRM! It was so sad to speak to my nurse, I'm gonna miss her/all IVF RNs. They are so wonderful. My final P4>60, so definitely no med concerns. I feel like a normal pregnant gal. Also, Dr. Sch let me d/c the Metformin today, too. Yay! It's just been a great day and I've been walking on Cloud 9 ever since our appt...

Great news and they are precious! A friend at work said she always like to hear the heartbeat and although that is special too, I always enjoyed the ultrasounds! We didn't have too many as I didn't have any complications, but to me, there is nothing like seeing your child moving around inside. Enjoy!

Wow! Even that early they can see "boy parts"!? I wonder if they noticed anything on my million of ultrasounds I've had. I won't have another until 2/23/09, when I have my 18 week ultrasound.

Congrats on a great ultrasound appt!!!

Love to see that things are going so well after everything that it took to get to this point!

Amazing that the boy parts are already discernible!

WOW! Great pics! Did you have something sugary before the u/s?

Congrats on 'graduating', kind of bittersweet, isn't it?
Btw, huge sale at oldnavy.com on maternity stuff if you're ready.

It's not a "prune"... it's a "dried plum." (To be honest, I like them under either description!)

Woo hoo on an excellent ultrasound! Go Baby A & Baby B!!

They are definitely very very cute. I hear ya on the strange pics. I got a face picture today at a non-stress test and it is kinda haunting.

That is amazing that the tech could pic out boy parts so early. She must be very very experienced because from my understanding there are hardly even "parts" at that stage... more like some sort of "tubercle angle" that they are looking at to determine gender. Wow!!

Congrats on your graduation from CCRM!! :)

Great Pic! Congrats! The boys look great! I wish you'd blog more about your personal pregnancy experience. You've written about how close you and your mom are, how did you tell her and what was her reaction? What about the IRL friends you were there to support during their weddings and pregnancies while you were still waiting and hoping, how did they react? Are they excited? what about work? What about DH's family? We want the first belly pics! I like the pics and updates from the bump/babycenter, but more stuff just from you would be nice.

The pic is great and congrats on saying goodbye to CCRM. Big Steps! I get what you are saying about the prune...those babies are way to cute to be compared to prunes!

Hi...I just found your blog because I am researching docs. I am very excited for you...your two little beans are perfect. I am researching the two very docs you have seen...I am originally from cincinnati, but live in bozeman, mt. I also lived in denver after college. I have been ttc since oct 07 with an ectopic march 08. I have a daughter who is 3 in may. With her I had to have a c section and now have adhesions around my ovaries and tubes. it is so frustrating...I was completely fine prior to my csection..I have done two IUI's with no success. I am having my third done tommorrow and then they recommend a lap. to clean the adhesions or I move to IVF. In this small town I can not get a second opinion so I am going to look in denver or cincy. I would really love to get your advice since you have worked with both of them. this is a emotionally and physically draining journey...I am glad you are on your way to motherhood..it is all very worth it. not sure if you can respond to me on your blog or just email me. courtthesing@msn.com
thank you so much
