I'm not really one to celebrate Valentine's Day. Definitely feel that it's a HallMark holiday. Steve knows this, but somehow either threw his knowledge out the window, forgot my feeling on it, or just thought I needed a pick me up. Regardless of his reason, we celebrated V-day yesterday.
First, he sent me 100 multi-colored garden roses on Friday before I left for work. They were beautiful. And his card was just precious-"I Love You, and can't wait for the birth of our beautiful baby boys." Aw...I loved that he made it about the babies and not Valentine's Day...
Then, he brought me home chocolate-covered strawberries (my fave!) after work on Friday. They were divine. I did share a few too. :-)
And finally yesterday, he took me to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and also gave me a sweet V-Day card, a Dove's milk chocolate rose, and a couple of heart-shaped Peeps. He thinks it's funny how I call people "my peeps" or refer to people in general with that term, so that's why I got those.
I feel very lucky to be married to him. And I'm glad (for whatever reason) that he decided to celebrate with me the last couple of days. I think it's been good for both of us.

Awwwww..... definitely a keeper.
Aww! Glad you had a nice day. Steve is so sweet!
Ahhh, very sweet. I'm trying to get a picture in my head of what 100 roses would look like...can't do it. Must be amazing...and next Valentine's Day there will be four of you celebrating...yup - he did a good job going above and beyond for this one. :-)
Whoa that is a LOT of roses!
Now see, I thought all IF girls loved V-day because it's the one holiday that doesn't have to do with families/babies! But alas, you're happily moving right on!
Glad you had a nice celebration :)
that is so nice! you deserve every minute of it and then some!
for valentine's day, my hubby picked up poo in the backyard...sigh....
Awwwww....
HOW SWEET! What a nice day!
Very very sweet hubby! I think we are both lucky that way!
I read your previous post, too. I hear you about your criticism of the VA. I work part-time there, and I have to say that my experience is different. Within oncology, I have been able to prescribe people medications (very VERY expensive meds like sunitinib, sorafenib, bevacizumab, temsirolimus, etc etc) that they literally cannot afford otherwise. I have upper middle class people coming to the VA for the first time just to get those meds. (They may something like $8 per month for them; on the outside they may cost THOUSANDS each month). I know that it's a frustrating bureaucracy, but I actually really enjoy working there.
Congrats on reaching the 2nd trimester! That is a HUGE milestone for you and your babies!
100 roses? Steve rocks! I'm so glad you guys had a wonderful V-Day, and two little someones to celebrate!
Steve is a keeper:) What a sweetie pie!
Very sweet. I agree V-Day is a Hallmark holiday, but it is a nice opportunity to celebrate your love and the babies it's creating right now. Congratulations!
What a sweetheart! It is so nice that with the pregnancy well on its way, that you two can do special things for each other and be in love and full of joY!
What a sweetie!
