Green Olives

"Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like... well... a baby!"

The babies weigh around 3 grams or 0.11 ounces. I still feel great and have actually been a little less tired than previous weeks. Even though I've only gained about 2.5 pounds, my clothes are feeling different. On Monday, I couldn't take my suit for a full work day and decided to run to Motherhood Maternity over lunch and get their version of a Bella Band. I really needed to get some belly relief! It helped a lot! So, maybe this will hold off full-on maternity clothes for at least a month.

We have our next OB appt. next Wed. More b/w today. Everything still looks great. E2=2438 even after taking off last patch, so I take my final Estrace tablet this weekend and then I'm done with estrogen! Yippee! P4>60, therefore I am also able to decrease 1 more Prometrium supp, so I'll be on just 1 supp at night beginning on Saturday. Re-checking levels on Monday. So happy. Can't wait for my legs/nerves/butt to recover from PIO. I have shooting nerve pain down both my legs. Praying it goes away with time...

How awesome that your pants aren't fitting that comfortably anymore. I'm hoping mine feel the same way soon! Can't wait to big and have a huge belly!

Congrats! I know what you mean about body changes. I've only gained between 5-10 lbs and it seems like it's all in my belly. I can't wear regular pants at all. I love maternity dresses at this point. How's the bella band from Motherhood Maternity working out? I've heard mixed reviews about the one at Target.

Nerve pain down both legs?! WHAT?! I forgot the rest of the post when I read that.

Oh no! How bad?! I've never been a fan of that enormous needle but lasting nerve pain after PIO. Gulp!

I love the olive phase! I was craving olives so badly when our boys hit this stage... it seemed fitting :)

I'm hoping your blood work shows you're done with the drugs!!

As for the maternity clothes, if I can just throw this out there: I bought a bunch of maternity clothes at about 12-14 weeks. They all still fit. Just buy pants with the long stretchy panel. Those will stick with you the longest. And definitely don't buy cotton tops from Old Navy maternity. They shrink and fall apart. Gap's cost a bit more, but they are a lot longer (good for twin mamas and coverage) and they don't shrink as badly as O.N.

Don't feel bad about buying them now. I felt so much more comfortable -- it was totally worth buying them early :)

I remember when my baby was an olive...I had a dream that I delivered an olive, and my mom picked it up off the hospital floor and placed it in her cocktail glass! I was so upset with her! : )

So glad you are nearly done with all the extra hormones and that your little guys are really starting to take over!! It all sounds great.

Weren't green olives something you were craving right before you found out this had worked? (-;

Yikes! Nerve pain from the injections??? I guess sometimes we don't even know what the various possibilities are when we say we'll endure anything to make this happen...

Yay for your two olives - it's like you've got a martini in there!

Go fetus go!!

For me, they didn't keep checking E2 or progesterone, so I really have no reference point. However, I know that I did stop everything (ie PIO) at about 9 weeks.

Congratulations on your little Olive!
